Hi, thanks for asking, as far as I know the opportunity with Generic Surplus was a mutual thing. RG wanted to do some cool sneakers that wouldn’t have a crazy price point so it made sense. GS wanted to work with another cool designer as they had with CdG. As for your breakdown of CP with mainline and GS with seconds I would agree with you I think that would be cool. The GS shoes are branded RG X GS though not a collab via Seconds.
